For those colder weather late season backpack hunts where my Klymit Static V air mattress is not adequate(cold/frozen ground) I have ordered the Thermarest Trail LIte. Still packs up somewhat small, 11"x5" or so and claims to provide an R3.4 against cold ground. Probably still use the Klymit for earlier season hunts because it is just so small when packed but for later season a bit more insulation is required. Also will likely be trying out my as yet unblooded 25-06rem for high alpine mule deer/bear. I've had it for a couple of years but still kind of stuck on my Tikka T3 lite in 270win.
I would also like new binoculars(Vortex 10x42 or 10x32), may happen, and a spotting scope would be nice. Spotting scope won't be happening this year though, just have to keep using my hunting partner's. This is something I will have to save my pennies for or work a few extra hours every now and then.
It's strange, you think you're all set and then something else pops up that's lighter/better/and oh so I've got to have that!

I have the ship date of 4-15 for the new Kifaru DT1 with bikini frame cant wait to get it. Still deciding on the sleeping pad. I have a BA Q-core I am going to try out this weekend if the weather allows.
Got to sell some older stuff for the new stuff.

Planning on buying:
Outer shell- jacket and pants.
Looking at Kuiu, Sitka, Kryptek gear. Needs to work out west and Kansas and Missouri as I plan to live in them this fall.

Purchased- Eberlestock x1 pack for day trips.

New rangefinder- Bushnell 1000arc failed in Alaska (only ranges fur/ non-reflective to 225yds). So I gave it away(grandpa was happy). Looking at the Leica model. But was told bright days or when it snows it's hard to see the red #'s.

GPS- Garmin something to mark hunting locations and stands.

More broadheads for the bow.

That's a good start for this year. Also need to pull out all my gear and make sure nothing needs to be replaced or fixed.

Just purchased Vortex Viper 10x42 and they are amazing for the $$. I need some good boots but have bought everything needed for a backcountry elk hunt this year and did it on a shoestring. STP camofire and steep and cheap are lifesavers.

That'd be the one. It's very
convenient. If you guys ever go in there remember they will price much almost anything.
