Need reviews on the 6.5 x 284

I'm pretty sure that the 6.5/284 is Guy Eastman's weapon of choice. Maybe he'll tell you what cartridge works for him, and his experience with it!

He might be referring to the 125 partition's less-than-stellar BC, and BC is what really makes a fast 6.5 shine.

The Accubond Long Range would be a much better choice.

I would personally be looking at the Berger VLDs with that cartridge.

Barnes has a 130 grain flat base bullet that I'm wanting to try in the 6.5x284 Norma.
That should work out to 400 Yards on anything I care to shoot, including Elk. If I want to push it further I'll look at a boat tailed bullet like the Berger.

From my review it looks like it compares well with 165 grain .30 caliber bullets with a little more sectional density, thus better penetration.
I'm trying this bullet because in these days of hard to find components it's what I could find.

Thanks Vince, I'm still toying with the idea of either a 6.5 Creedmoor or perhaps a .260 A.I. in a lightweight bolt gun.
