Tripod/window mount

I recently purchased a vortex razor had 20-60x85 and have been trying to find a good quality tripod. Every time I think I have found the right tripod I am unable to find a window mount that fits the plate of that tripod head. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Mine too...I use a Cabelas window mount on mu Leupold spotter.

I have a Cabelas window mount too, and a $35 Vanguard tripod. Im sure there are better ones out there but it holds the spotter up!

I think prairie ghost is referring to the quick detach shoe that is standard on some tripods. You might find a window mount that accepts the shoe but not sure. I also have the Cabelas brand window mount.......spotting scope mounts directly to tripod and w-mount.

There are lots of ways to go about this. I have several manfrotto heads: ball, pan, and fluid that all take the same plate. What I did is buy a cheap window mount, remove the cheap head, and put a manfrotto ball head on the cheap clamp... done.

you will have to stay with the same brand, Vanguard tripod-Vanguard window mount, Like the Alta 264AO tripod has the same plate as the PH-242 window mount.
