So I got landowner contacts in untis 20,1, and 3- anyone hunt these areas? Any advice? yes, nos or maybes?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I guess im skeptical of landowners, being from Ohio, any landowner out here will talk up his land.If you have lansdowner contacts in those units, why not ask them? Most will be up front as to their properties. 1 and 3 are not really in the prime antelope country like 20 is. I'd look into the latter as my first choice if you can get on private property.
There has been talk with the money shortage that some expiring WIA's wouldn't be renewed. I would call the Game and Fish to make sure.DO the Wia's stay more or less the same year to year?
***An educated guess would be that most of the antelope population is probably on private property where they don't allow hunting by outsiders for a fee and only residents are hunting them. I don't know what else would skew the success rates like that.So I was looking for a second choice in units 11 and 9. 11 is harder to draw but still doable, 9 is easy draw second choice. They both have a ton of walk in areas.
What am wondering is why the harvest rates are so low? NR's had about 50% success last year. Residents however, were over 90 % any thoughts?
I would say yes and yes to that! lol. First time is always the hardest in a new area.I imagine planning this is easier after the first year? Or with more points....my head hurts lol thanks for the help everyone
Thank God!!I would say yes and yes to that! lol. First time is always the hardest in a new area.
