Gotta love Alaska!... That WOULD be the dad in the lower 48.

Actually, he'd do just fine. But he's hanging out in a neighborhood where I can't hunt.

I have been to Alaska 2 times fishing , but hopefuly next time I come I will be hunting. I am jealous of you getting to live there, and being able to se this kind of stuff all the time.

Quads, horses, foot traffic. All great concepts to push him into the correct area

Great bull AKa. My brother and I hunted moose up there, and it was fun to see them right in the neighborhood before we flew out to our hunting area. We were very fortunate to harvest 65" and 63" bulls.

Congratulations on some fine bulls...can you post a couple photos for us.

The moose have eluded me so far this season. I was able to call in 3 bulls for my son, all within 200 yards and we didn't shoot any of them. The first one came in the evening we got there and was illegal because of the same day as airborne law, the second stayed in thick brush and we just couldn't find a shooting lane and the last one came in the day the season closed! I sure enjoyed the hunt, especially with my son, it's getting harder to get his time for hunting.

It goes like that sometimes, I still have a couple more chances at them this year. None of the ones we saw were 65" though.

I will try to get some pics up. They were on about the 4th computer ago.. LOL. The pics were in an issue of Eastmans Hunting Journal back in '06. Sounds like you had a great time with your son. That's what it's all about.
