I know that there are a few packs that have special pockets for carrying a spotting scope and tripod. If you don't have one of these models, what is the best way to carry your spotting scope and tripod. Is there a good way other than just putting it in the main compartment. I don't use a spotting scope very often, but since I am planning a Colorado elk hunting trip in October and will bring a spotting scope, I am looking for the best way to carry it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure it would work with your setup but, I have a Eberlestock J34 with the built in scabbard. When scouting, bowhunting, or even rifle hunting not using the scabbard, I love being able to keep the scope attached to the tripod and trow it in the scabbard. It can be strapped down and covered and makes for an easy removal without having to take the pack off and reattaching the scope to the tripod. Not sure if buying a scabbard to attach to your pack would work but I have found it to be very useful with the pack I use.

This is some great advice. I do the same thing and actually sometimes look forward to not having a tag so I can use it this way while helping others.

I do something like what Hardstalk shows. I have compact tripods that came with the scope that I can leave attached a fold up in a way so I can Clip my scope in a side area that was made to carry a rifle. It's fully exposed with a mesh cup holder type deal on the bottom and mid way up the pack there is a flap that goes over and clips shut. This seems to securely hold my scope in an easy to get to place where it's ready to use quickly. I looked up your pack and I couldn't tell if it has anything like that or not.
