2nd Draw question

If you draw a tag in the 2nd draw do you lose your points? How about drawing a cow tag, do you lose your elk points as a non-resident?

You lose your points for whatever tag you put in for. If you put in for Cow elk you will not lose bull elk points.

Nope, they apply unfortunately.

Thanks for clarifying that. Glad I found that out now! I was thinking about applying for 101-109 muzzle loader since I havent drawn much this year but Im not willing to burn my points for it. If I put in the 2nd draw for an anterless elk tag wound I keep my bull elk points if I drew a tag? Does anyone know how much a NR anterless tag costs? Its not in the reg book and the link on the site wont work. Points or no points if it costs the same as a bull tag Im out!

If you apply for cow elk in the second draw and are successful, you will still keep your bull points. Antlerless elk tags for NR is $500 plus the $142 for the license. Tag fees are on page 6 of the 2013 Nevada Big Game Seasons and Application Regulations book.

Thanks I have the 2011 hunting guide and it only lists the bull tag price.
