So I see that Cabela's is offering 0% interest for 12 months on their Euro line of binoculars. Reading the reviews (4.9 out of 5), seems like 23 folks find them to be 5 star quality. A few folks mention they feel they are as good as any of the Euro big three. At $1000, paying $83/month for 12 months doesn't sound like a bad deal. Do any of you have any experience with these binos? I believe they are made by Meopta, which I do not have any experience with either. I currently use Cabela's XTs (which may be Meopta's not sure), so this would be a step up. I have also considered holding out for Swarovski's. I know they sometimes have the 0% interest for 12 months too.

I have thumbed through the other threads and haven't found one mentioning these particular binos. If there is one, my apologies, and can you point me in the right direction?

Any comments are gratefully appreciated.

After playing the online business game I now never rely on reviews. Its a big game. For 5 bucks I could pay someone to write 10-15 reviews on anything for 25 bucks they will do 100 reviews. Its pretty easy to bury a bad review with good reviews via internet.

I would check them out and make sure they fit well and are the quality you desire. Especially before financing them.

I bought a pair of the 10x42's 3 years ago and I love 'em. I have compared to my buddy's swar 10x42's and are very, very comparable in clarity, light gathering and FOV. I'd give 'em a 5.

The 10X42 Euro HD IS the Meopta Meostar HD. Same exact binocular. I have the Meopta HD and the SLC neu. The views are incredibly similar, with the Meostars having the edge on Chromatic Aberration correction.

They are excellent binoculars in every respect and fully compete with the very best.

I want to say I looked through the non HD version when they first came out and thought they were good just couldn't justify paying that price. I mean, I was used to 1970s Kmart special Simmons so anything that cost over $15 was going to be better quality. That's why I went with the XTs when they first came out and still like them today. But now I think I am due a quality upgrade. Thank you gents for your responses, more are welcome of course.

I am a huge fan of the Cabelas Euro's. I personally have a pair of swaro bino's but my wife kept stealing them whenever we were out together so I bought her a pair of Euro's before they came out with the HD's. She still steals the Swaro's but the Euro's are good quality and I don't mind using them at all. In my opinion they are the best bino you can get in thier price range and you can sometimes get them in Cabelas bargain cave for a good price. fatrascal.

I have the Meopta Meostar 10x42 as truck binocs that stay on the dash. My only complaint is that I hate the lens covers.
