Congratulations to all on drawing tags! I'm already looking forward to reading about it in Eastman's Hunting Journal, Bitterroot!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, AKA.

I am pretty excited.

After 20 plus years of applying for limited deer, I am going to have to put some time in on this one.

20 year wait.....? Sounds like 270 to me if it's in the Bitterroots but whatever you pulled best wishes to you. May you have a very awesome and successful hunt. I hope your work, and family give you some time off for this one Matt. I'm very excited for you.

Sure would be nice to see some nice pictures when you get out and after your all done.

Does anyone know when leftovers go on sale[/QUOTE]

I talked with the game and fish and what they said is that they do have all three big game combo's tags leftover.

I did not ask when they would go on sale.

I asked how many tags were left over and what their reply was they would have to get count on them & will know by tomorrow. I think there'll be online soon.

No special tags for me just a general deer/elk combo. Now that this draw is out-of-the-way I will pick myself off the ground and looking forward to the next one, even a blind squirrel gets lucky once in a while & finds a nut.

Is it expected that there will be 900 series antelope tags left? I can't find if there were and how many left over last year.

If I don't draw a Colorado archery deer tag I would like to do Montana antelope and fishing as a back-up.

I will be archery hunting for a bull around my home territory. Now if I could just get one of the big 3 tags, everything would be set.

There has not been left over 900 tags for antelope up here in the past. Antelope numbers are down over alot of Montana. Where I live, north of Ft. Peck, the heard is WAY down thanks to the winter of 2010-11.
