I believe it was in the Gross Ventre wilderness area, we went up to Moran and rode sleds from there south. Actually saw a couple wolves on that trip and a bunch of cow/calf pairs. The Cali couple on the tour thought it (wolves) were the most magical thing they'd ever seen.......Past those 2 tours I burnt a lot of fuel through the rental vehicle going around and looking. I was so ticked because I finally found some good muley bucks the last evening we were there and I just didn't have enough light to shoot pics. One of them was a stud NT and another was a buck that had inlines that would put him around 200".

I was in Jackson this weekend. Attended the World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climbs. I spent a little time at the refuge. There was a great looking herd. Some real nice bulls. A few of them had shed. I can't wait till May 1st!!!

Been to the hill climbs a couple times. Thoses dudes are nuts! I always wanted one of those trench coats the racers wear. They look super warm.

Work got in the way.I didn't get to hunt it last season but I had a friend that shot a nice bull on the other side of the river. He shot a 6' cinnamon bear off the kill site next morning while he was hiking in to pack out the last few quarters.
Very cool. I've seen a few black bears there swimming across the res. I used to be friends with the guys that used to own Huskys. Used to be call the Timber Wolf Resort. We would stay there at the cabins.
I think so too. They seem to stick out a lot more and there are less people to deal with.

Randy was the original owner or Husky's and now owns it again. In my opinion he is the best contact to have in Swan Valley. The Idaho Fish And Game Warden is for the area is a high school friend of mine. If you want to know more or if you want his number PM me he is a great source of info for the area.
