Kamas Cow elk?

My 16 yr old son and I drew buck tags for the Kamas unit to.go have a fun week with my older son who goes to the U. I just noticed they have antlerless cow elk "control" tags for multiple units, where you can apply for one if you already have a buck deer tag. It's only $269, so I would think it's a no brainer to grab one in case we bump into one while deer hunting, no?

Anyone know if the elk and deer are around the same area in Kamas that time of year?
