I've always had just a basic one in my truck but never did pack one in a day pack or even take one on extended pack ins.

Thankfully all the situations that I have encountered could be handled with a paper towel and some electrical tape. That is all but one. I sewed up a cut on my thumb with a needle and thread that had been soaked in some vodka when I couldn't get my partner to do it.

Both, I got a few kits from Fieldcraft and they are with me everywhere. I make sure every one of them has a tourniquet as well.

Both and my boat.

nothing fancy - bandaids, clot stuff, some strips of cloth for torniquet or holding the clot stuff in place.

did one up for my dad. They do sell some premade trauma kits that would work.

im real picky about bandaids, only bandaid brand seems to stick well.

I also keep a fire extinguisher in my truck and on my side by side amongst a few other strategic places.

don’t ask.

Better drug stores will carry good ones where you can check them out for size and what not.

On my first trip to Africa we stopped at a local drug store and bought a few nice ones for a school that we were going to visit. The teachers there really appreciated them

The big thing with a extinguisher is to keep it up to date and make sure that it works. I've seen way to many that are designed for vehicles just placed into the vehicle and forgotten.

I have a friend who had a slide in camper and one day when we were drinking coffee I hit the little green button that is used to test them, the extinguisher was bad. If it wasn't for his wife who saw the results it never would of been replaced.
That along with needing to shake up the contents othe dry chemical ones to keep them working.

Yeah, I will help this year again with Hunting With Heroes Wyoming so I want to make sure I have 2 good first aid kits one in the truck that's a decent one and a small basic one in my pack. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to the veteran and I didn't have a kit.
