I?ve said it before and I?ll say it again. It is ridiculous that it takes 3 weeks to conduct a draw. The computer can do it in literally seconds if that long. Double check it and then release. Two days max. Maybe there is more to it than that but I wanna know!

I will say with all the moisture this is shaping up to be a good forage season across the West which makes me look forward to seeing what I drew. I have a feeling I am going to get a good elk tag this year.

It’s mostly just me whining!!!!! But it does seem like it could be less time. Again I have no idea what other things have to happen and I know there have been issues in the past that they don’t want to repeat but man I get like a kid at Christmas waiting for those results.

Don't rush things in life. Like the kid that opens the presents early. Life is short and over way to fast enjoy the wait. The anticipation is the best part.

I second that, but as a guy who has had a tag in his pocket since February the anticipation is actually making the time pass pretty quickly.

4 months 5 days 21 hours and 35 mins til I head west

Speaking to the moisture and snow, its been really cool to watch webcams in some of the areas in WY where I enjoy camping and hunting, as the snow melts away these last few weeks, and the grass greens up at some higher elevations. I don't live in WY, but the technology gives me a window to watch spring unfold. Seems like a little more snow than last yr in some places in WY (I realize some spots got hammered and the critters there might be in a bad way) and grass looking real healthy in some of the webcams @ ~ 9-10k' I keep tabs on...

I woke up to snow this morning here in the valley.. crazy. It's either really green or completely white here in western Wyoming still. Going to be a tough year for deer around here after another hard winter. Just gives me more reason to be very picky with my otc tag. I won't harvest a buck that isn't mature. Otherwise im hoping to draw antelope which i missed last year and i put in for a hard to draw elk tag, but honestly after what i found with my otc tag last year, i almost would rather just not draw and go back into the same basin in search of another big bull.. either way.. come on 10 days!

The survivors seem to always slip thru the cracks, that's why you have great genetics there.
Great point on chasing dream tags too. I would rather hunt one of the areas I know really well every year than hunt going blind onto new ground. I try to make it a point every year to see whats on the other side of that mountain.
