I think I've gotten a survey for each tag I've had there in recent years and that's half a dozen or so.

Like wy-tex said, I find it interesting to see the hunter days an interesting stat. I have a hard time believing people are averaging 10-15 days to shoot something. Or maybe they're adding in the unsuccessful people?

They average them all - successful and not. They ask how many days you hunted...

It's not that surprising... on my survey i probably claimed nearly 20 days of hunting for my elk and 7 for my deer...i hunted elk most nights after work all September and passed on numerous bulls before connecting on a 360 bull in the highcountry on a pack in hunt. .i hunted my buck every weekend until rifle opened and had no intentions of shooting a different one..for residents that are selective, it's pretty easy to rack up days. I can leave work and be in elk country within an hour and have a full evening hunt and if i wanted to go after deer i could as well, but i was already set on the only buck i wanted to harvest last year. .. but i still pay no attention to those numbers because everybody is different, but just showing why its easy to get high numbers from some people.
