Due to other state hunting commitments my buddy and I have accumulated 11 points for deer. We usually hunt muzzleloader but are open to rifle or bow. Any help steering us to the best use of these points would be appreciated. Note: I am 64 and NOT in sheep shape.

Randi01: theres about 3 units that take 11 pts.,On eastmans chart: 12-4th looks best to me,21&30-M.Loader looks decent;4-4th;61&30-3rd-rifle.I've never been to any ;but will be looking in 2-3 years myself w/M.L. I'll shoot a160" buck w/my percussion gun or my 54 flinter!I'll try to send you something else tomorrow.Got to let my bird dog in! Roundball

What about 22 3rd? My dad is almost your age and has pretty bad knees. 22 keeps coming up as a unit with a lot of roads. I am looking at that for him. It’s not my first choice for 11 points but he can’t physically do high country backpack hunts anymore.
Thank you for the advice. We are also looking into a rifle tag. Obviously, we would like to get the best tag available @ 11 points.

22 is a great choice for the reason you stated. It would make a great hunt for someone a little less mobile.
