Hi

I've been trying to research the General Any bull, any weapon units online using onx. I also just received the Utah onx Chip.

But at the moment I'm most concerned about researching online through the onx website from my computer. The problem is the onx online map I have shows mainly the limited units. It doesn't have units like San Juan Montazuma and others outlined. Is there a onx map that has this info. I'm aware the Utah DOW maps which are nice but not very detailed so I would much prefer the onx with it's topo, hybrid and aerial views.

The boundaries for the any bull hunts are fairly easy to figure out. The San Juan Montazuma hunt is east of US 191 to the Colorado Border and south of US 491 which runs from Montecello to the Colorado border, south to the Indian lands. And while even my OnX Chip doesn't show the actual boundaries it does have it named.

You just have to bounce between the map that is on the DOW's site back for the Any Bull to the OnX maps to actually determine what is what. For a more detailed map as far as the boundaries are concerned just go to the map section of the Utah Dow site and put in the info for the Any Bull hunts.

Jim,

Appreciate the info. Appreciate you helping me so much. However, I did find out that if you click on the layer settings for the Utah WMU's on the onx web APP it brings up a whole bevy of hunt options from bison to Spike Elk hunt. So you can select one of three settings for Elk: Limited Elk, Spike Elk, or Elk hunt units. I choose Elk hunt units and it showed me both the general and limited units. It just don't show the Antlerless control units.

The anterless control permits can change from year to year so I doubt that a company like OnX will even try to keep up with the boundaries for them.

For that you just need to go to the Utah DOW site and check the boundaries for them. There is a map of them as far as the boundaries are on the site. But if you need more detail then you would need to find the boundary description and go from there
