Try the east side of the Short Pines
The Short Pines are beautiful and have a good population of deer. Up on top you tend to find more whitetails and less mule deer, but along the edge or more into "Badland" looking stuff the muleys far outnumber the whitetails. I've always wanted to get a muzzleloader tag and hit that those places in the snow.
