I was wondering if anyone had tried one of these scopes. I have a 264WM that I use for flatter country hunts where weight isn't as much of an issue, and light gathering/long range ability is. I've always used Leupold scopes and had good luck with them. I bought a VX-R 4-12x40 CDS scope that I used on my 264 last season and liked it for big game hunting. The problem came when I was shooting coyotes at longer range the thicker crosshair of the VX-R covered to much of the yote. I've been impressed with every Vortex product I've looked through and was thinking of trying one of these scopes. I also see that they have the ballistics program for building custom turrets and would like to go that route. I have load data and field test results for this rifle I could plug in. I don't shoot game past 500yds, but do practice alot to 600. It proves to me that 500 is a good limit for me.
Anyway, anyone tried one of these scopes or the Vortex turret?
