So I was browsing the web in search of info in regards to High Desert Mule Deer and I have to say, a short period of time spent on the CA forum has educated me more so that any other info source I've found!
I am a proud U.S. Military member, in addition I am a very avid outdoorsman. I've spent most of my time in the South East hunting SC, NC, VA, TN, and GA. Focusing primarily on Whitetails, Turkey, and Wild Hog's! I've managed to gain a great deal of knowledge through the year's contributing to success on a very consistent basis in the SE.
But oh how the west has humbled me, I have found SoCal to be without question the most challenging location to figure out, I continue to be up for the challenge, and that it truly is!
Very excited to learn and share with the members of this forum, hope to exchange stories, knowledge, and maybe even make a few friends along the way!

Everyone stay safe, and rest easy!

Welcome to the forum! I used to live in Big Bear and those So Cal Mulies are a challenge. They are there though. Shoot me a PM when you get back and I'll send you some ideas.

If you ever want a real challenge come to southwest Montana some time. After spending most of my time in the Corps (retired after 20+ years) in the desert I decided to move to a place where it snows and I have 4 seasons, the hunting is fun and I get to snowshoe 6 months out of the year.

Thank you for your service and welcome to the forum. Lots of great people and info here. I've hunted up near Shasta in Northern CA a few times while stationed in Lemoore (27 yrs Navy retired) If I can be of any help shoot me a pm. I work in the Middle East and am here now so on your same time zone. :)

Stay safe.

Thank you for your service Sir, 27 years is no small feat!! I'll shoot ya an IM once I figure all the functions out lol. I managed to throw a hunt together in the western edge of San Bernardino last season but I underestimated the terrain and got my butt handed to me lol! Thanks for everything you continue to do!

Funny, I have recently became friends with a gentleman from Montana. Him and I are currently working to plan a hunt there within the next couple years. Hopefully it works out, its always exciting to hunt new places and Montana has long been on my list of states that I'd like to visit! Greatly appreciate your service rammont and best of luck in the upcoming seasons!

Welcome to the Forum. I lived in southern California all my life until I retired and moved to Colorado in 2000. I have taken deer all over the state. Check out my album on my personal page, lots of good bucks. I can also tell you a few things about hunting desert mulies. PM me anytime.

Thank you for your service....I am a disabled army vet.
