What's your late and early season go to socks?

My feet get cold all the time time during late season no matter what I wear. Early season my feet do pretty good and don't sweat too bad but always looking for a new pair.

LaCross Extreme Hunting over the calf. About $15.00 per pair but I have been wearing the same five pairs for about six years. Only hunting socks I own. Have worn them from Mississippi to Utah with Mucks to Meindls.

I am a fan of the Darn Tough socks. I have the expedition wt for late season, and a lighter pair for early. I will never buy anything else from here on.

I wear the Redhead wool socks that are 81% wool. I bought a pair about 10 years ago and I like them so much I got 8 more, since I wear them ONLY for hunting they are still in great condition. At the time they were $9.99 a pair. They give me the exact boot fit I like. I wear them any time I'm wearing my hunting boots early or late season.

Smartwool hikers 90% of the time for me. I do like the Redhead lifetime wool socks, for when I'm wearing waders, or lounging around in the house!
I will say, nothing seems to really wick moisture away like the Smartwool socks do. And dry feet are warm feet.

Since I tried Darn Tough in the different weights I seldom wear anything else. Cold weather camping I take a pair of real heavy Thorlo wool socks to sleep in. Warm dry feet at night makes a happy camper.
