Success in AZ

Made it home from my AZ Javelina hunt. Had a great time getting away from the snow and rain at home. I was able to catch up and hunt with some friends I met last year while I was in AZ on my first ever Javelina hunt. We had a great time catching up and stuffed ourselves with great food. On the first afternoon of the hunt I glassed up a small group and connected on my second Javelina in as many years. They are cool little critters, this could become a habit .

They do become a bad habit to get into to. This year was my 25th in a row going down to Arizona from Colorado and I'll be back down there next February again.

25 years is awesome. I kind of missed that part until I re-read your post. I wish I would have started earlier , it was one of those hunts I kept saying I need to do, but kept putting off. Same with Coues deer. Last year I made both of those hunts happen and I'm sure glad I did, because they were both great adventures and they'll be in my schedule more from now on.
Have you hunted Coues that long also? I know you tagged a good one this year. I can see those little deer being addictive too!

I have only hunted coues deer twice but can see how they would become really additive. My trouble was that I hunted them in late December and being able to draw that tag is not too easy for the unit that I drew. It normally takes a non resident 7-8 years worth of points to draw that unit. The first year I drew it with 8 and then last year I drew it with my 1 loyalty point.
