Quick question. I looked online on the Wy G & F website first paragraph "no requirement in Wy." Next paragraph all 50 states it is a requirement.
So who can tell me if it is required to bow hunt in Wyoming and is there in fact an age cut off for the requirement thanks.

I didn't look at the website, but the elk booklet says you have to have hunter safety if you were born on or after 1/1/66 to take wildlife with a firearm. It doesn't mention archery

I forget what state out west requires an archery course to apply? at least for someone my age.... under 40?

I think that state has a free and easy online course, I think it was NV or UT...

you may look into that and just do the quick free online course and then have that if another state requires anything similar.

Most states accept a past archery license in lieu of bowhunter education course. Wyoming only requires hunter safety after 1966 born date.

The online course took my wife and I about 3 hours to finish.

South Dakota requires it for all elk hunters, so we got it out of the way.

Wyoming may have the same requirement that Utah has where if you don't have a "Hunters Safety Certificate" and if you want to bow hunt then you need to take a "Archery Safety Course" which will work for archery only. Then if you want to switch to a rifle/muzzle loader then you would need to take the other course.

Without reading through Wyoming's rules and regs I am just guessing that they may be the same.

I would call the Wyoming F&G and ask them but be prepared for two or three different answers depending on who you get on the phone.
