Archery cow hunt

hey all, I am looking for ideas and info on doing an archery cow elk hunt with my wife. Neither of us have hunted elk before but would love to spend time in a tent and try fill the freezer with an elk. I have been looking at maybe trying somewhere in the big horns as it's not to far to travel and mrs section seems to indicate good numbers. We are totally open to anything and not fraid of hard work and adventure but are totally green to elk hunting. So any insight on areas with good elk numbers or just out of the way fun would be appreciated. Thanks

Why not just get a general license pay for the archery permit and hunt bull and cows in archery season. I would hate to be chasing cows and a Giant Bull walk up

You can't get a Gen tag as a left over any more so would need at least part of a point unless your a resident and apply for the special tag.
