Has any of our members tried the Train to Hunt challenge?

They are coming back to Reno this year and I'm going to give it a try. By no way do I think I have a chance to win but I would like to finish the corse with what I think is a difficult time for me but more importantly make accurate shots with my bow.

I've seen these going on for a few years and the one in Oregon (Cameron Hayes).
If they were not so far away, I'd be all up in that!

I have done the challenge four times now. Once in Colorado and three times in Wyoming. Great fun and grinding exercise. I wouldn't miss it if was in my hometown. If you have any particular questions shoot me a PM or ask away here.

It looks like there is one in Casper this year and I am planning on participating.

Are there any restrictions for equipment of if I hunt with it, I can compete with it. Curious about stabilers, quivers that sort of thing?

I just signed up for the Reno Challenge, I am super pumped! Trying to get a group of buddy's together to train and run it but for now it's just me. It's going to be a challenge putting in the work getting ready as I am sitting on my butt for the next 2 months doing taxes but I am excited to have something to motivate me.

I just pulled the trigger and signed up for the one in northern Idaho. Bearlodge10, what was the weight of the tire for tire drag? truck or tractor tire?

If you guys are on Face Book Scott Carr started a page that has guys that train to hunt and many other athlete based archery challenges.

It's called Hammer and Chisel for the Hunter. He is not selling anything or trying to get guys to sign up for anything just a group of guys that post their workouts and it's a motivational type of group to keep guys working toward their individual goals.

any of you that have done the TTH, do you think they will let me swap locations? I'm signed up for northern Idaho thinking kids would be done with school, but they aren't! make a fam vac out of where ever I go. prob Colorado powder horn one. I hope they let me swap.
