Thinking of ditching the drop away

the biscuit... to me has always been the best rest... simplicity and functionality! Can't be out in the backcountry and have bow issues. what few FPS you sacrifice is more than made up in ease and reliability. my 2 cents

The biscuit is a simple rest, but if it gets wet and freezes it is noisy.

That's what was on my bow when I bought it. No mechanical moving parts that may get jammed up. Holds arrow in place no matter what position you hold it at, no chance of arrow slipping and maybe clanging on the bow.
It also has never cost me any accuracy.

Just my opinion.....i had a little noise issue with my QAD .....went to a whisker bisket and havent looked back. Ive arrowed quite a few animals and it works flawless. Impact out to 100 yards didnt change so id say speed loss was minimal. Ive been very happy.

I was brought on board in an effort to design a drop away rest that is quiet, drops super fast, no bounce back, full capture, re-capture on letdown, full containment and no springs. I agreed and did all the 3D CAD modeling and made the prototypes on my 3D printer. The rest (called the Magne Drop) was rolled out over the last 3 days at the ATA. I dont know if the company owner has a web site up yet but I dont think they do. They are now just getting the rest made (all parts made in America and assembled here in WI) so there will be more out about the rest in the coming months.

I would do as suggested here and have your setup checked out. Sound dampening including moleskin is always a plus plus. Also make certain your arrow spine and weight is correct for broadhead weight and poundage. I've always shot a launcher style with good results before switching to a ripcord. Let us know what you end up with ;)
