Ha I am not sure yelling hey bear does any good. I would yell it then turn the corner and a deer would be 30 yards away. My conclusion is a bear would do the same thing. Looking at eyes staring at you in the distance gets the ole pumper working good

Yeah, deer staring at you late at night stinks. Makes you really question your sanity.
