I'm terrible about backing up photos so here is my archery doe from last fall
and my spring bear from this year because that's all I have on my phone
. My buddy showed/told me how to get good solo field photos on the phone so hopefully I'll have some better pics to add this fall. Would've tried with the bear but they always die in the most inconvenient places. Was more concerned with not sliding into the creek bottom than photos at that point in time. It was steep and the pack out was brutal

haha, 20 yrds away with .270 i shot the buck not far from where truck was parked just glassing the inside of a canyon. seen the buck on the hill set up shooting sticks and shot, he hunched up and i knew i hit him and just knew he was dead. i got up the hill and couldn't see no deer or blood! i was looking around trees where all the deer ran and then i found alotof blood and the deer jumped up right infront of me and took off down hill. not having any lead, (stupid) i watched him go towards bottom (thankfully) into some trees. made it back to truck to get gun and gear and worked back up to where i last seen the buck. he was bedded up on the edge of trees, not dead yet but almost. i was about to put another in the boiler room when i seen this yote with its nose in the ground walking towards the buck. haha he got the first bullet and a ride down to the truck on the deer.

I bought the 2nd tag so I took the 1st buck I saw that wasn't a forky for meat. Now the pressures off and I can hold out for a big buck in November.

Chasing em with a bow. Bought the second tag when my elk hunting plans got ruined by my own doing(changed jobs). And as to the trekking pole, my buddy had the other one. We climbed 1600 vertical feet in about a mile to get to that buck so it was steep to say the least
