unit 39 albino??

an emmett man shot the albino (????) with his bow on opening day. fish n game says it was a legal kill. some are up in arms because he killed it.
so should he have killed it?

I say ,YES!
it was legal it puts meat in the fridge and you get the added bonus of pissing off those who are silly fools.

on a side note, was it even an albino, or just a white deer? it doesn't appear to have pink eyes.

If all was done legal there is nothing wrong in taking the "white" deer. I think it would be a pretty cool trophy.

As an avid hunter and valuing hunting rights I have mixed feelings. I would probably classify this as a backyard buck. I've lived in more rural towns than urban ones like the treasure valley area. Hunting or shooting an animal that hunters and non-hunters watch brings lots of negative press to hunting. It may be legal but is it worth it? Several years ago I spent the fall in Challis and dang it was tempting to set up on the outskirts of town given there were multiple bucks with 24"+ spread running around. I now work in McCall and there are some really nice bucks that roam the surrounding neighborhoods and it is tempting to go after one of them. I'm sure this individual knew what he was doing and I just question whether these type of situations give more for the non-hunters to bring up. Now that it's done I'm not sure why he is entertaining talking with the media, just seams to be making it worse.
