oh geez, that would be a hell of a note to stumble on! they did that up outside of Darby Montana years ago and left a huge mess. for being a bunch of naturalist liberal tree hugging self hugging individuals they sure don't give a crap about leaving nature as you found it. theyd come In to the grocery store and steal shopping carts chuck full of food, theyd get a cart full, a few of the ladies would get naked and start running around to get everyone's attention and the others would slip outside load up the hippie loving vans and roll out. worthless menaces to society.

Never heard of them. I had to google and find out what the hell you were talking about. I was hoping it wasn't connected with the Rainbow girls masonic organization. Thank God it isn't. Guess I'll make sure I carry my bear spray...that will keep them away!!!

Usually with the Rainbow group a bar of soap is all you need to keep them at a far distance.

They should be able to snag a bunch of needed supplies in the form of legalized Pot. I figured they would have camped out closer to Denver.

The Rainbows had a gathering in NE MN about 20 years ago. They were selling wagon rides through their camping area, and it was almost like going to the zoo. Try to stay upwind as much as possible, because the soap comment was spot on. Luckily, the MJ was so prevalent (even then), that it covers up the worst of it. Most of the 60's/70's hippies are long in the tooth now, so it's a pretty benign group other than the trash and stink. Our worst problems were the hangers on who decided to stay past the gathering. Luckily, the MN winter followed by a horrendous mosquito season drove out the last of them.
Sounds a lot like the Dead Heads we used to get in Vegas back when The Greatful Dead used to tour. They would come into the grocery store where I worked and stink up the place so bad it would make your eye water. Of course they would steal like crazy too.
They would roll out their sleeping bags or tents on the side of any road even if it was a highway. The trash they left was unbelievable.

They were in central idaho quite a while ago...They absolutely destroyed the entire region they were in. Stuff was left all over, land was trashed, they are a terrible group with zero respect.

You can expect a rash of thefts and such in any community they pass through on the way to this gathering. Once there they will leave behind untold amounts of trash and other items that the Forest Service and others will have to come in once they leave and clean up. It will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to clean the mess in the forests up. It's really amazing as they claim to be "one with nature"!

Few years back they had their gathering in Pennsylvania. One of the idiots got bit by a rattlesnake and refused treatment because him and his people wanted to treat it with natural medicine......I hope they all go the the beach in California and try to swim to a Hawaiian island.

We ran into a gathering in MS several years ago during turkey season. They walked through the woods and beat on drums while we were out there. One of the guys killed a turkey anyway, and when he came back to the truck they were screaming and crying. They even had their kids out there and were scaring their own kids by tell them to run and hide or we would shoot them too! They really are nuts!
