Well Ive been in the highcountry the past 3 weekends...And still have 3 more to go until the Archery opener. Seen a ton of good bucks so far, and have narrowed down the area Im planning on hunting after finding 2 typicals in the 190+ range and a few unique non-typicals along with plenty of other solid bucks. Heading back into it again this weekend to check a couple of the last 2 basins on the ridge that I wasnt able to look into last weekend. Im sure there are plenty more deer that i have still yet to see, and I cant wait for season to get here!! its been a decade since I actually put effort into scouting for myself after all the years of guiding, and its been a great feeling to have a pack on my back and sleep up top of the world looking for big muleys! heres a few pictures so far....I love velvet season!
