That is the one. I was lucky enough to get close to a 400 plus in NM. I called my guide friend to tell him about it and he found out where I was and said his wife had seen it and called him about it. That was a high line for my hunting.

Giant bull, just goes to show what is still out there. Even in a state that tends to manage for more opportunity than over all trophy quality like Wyoming does.

The big boy is no doubt a park elk and unhuntable. Demonstrates the potential of some of those bulls if they can actually live long enough to fully mature. Sure would be nice if the Game Departments put a bit more management practices in place to improve older age classes. Not only for we that admire large antlers but also for a healthy herd.

Here's his sheds from last year. He looks pretty much the same except for the little 1" point on his right antler. I hope he's a good breeder.

I don't know how to make this picture bigger.

oh got ya, I was gonna say, I need your hook ups!! how does that work? I know the scouts go in looking for them every spring. can any troop sign up to do that or does it have to be the local troop? would love to get my sons troop in on that, would be an awesome activity they all would enjoy.

How long before they put in shed antler license? Where would you put price range on that license? I'm personally for it. Tons of people monetarily benefitting from wildlife with the state getting nothing back from a resource it manages

I'm pretty sure it's only for the local JH troop. The USFW picks up a lot of the sheds as well. They usually watch for the exceptional ones to drop and pick them up so they don't get lost in the shuffle.
