Kuiu Super Down Hoody vs. Sitka Kelvin Down Hoody

Has anyone had the opportunity to compare these two side by side? Looking for warmth and abrasion resistance. And of course any other input.

If you want more warmth I would definitely go with the Sitka down hoody although it is warmer it doesn't fit a slim as the kuiu jacket. I think in terms of durability they are going to be very similar.

Both jackets are really warm, movement isn't something you will want to do a lot of with this much insulation.

So, which one did you pick?

So in my research it appears I am comparing apples to oranges. The kuiu is a mid layer and sitka an outer (jackets referenced). For my particular needs/wants, I'm going with Sitka. The quixdown of kuiu is crazy impressive and I may regret that part of it but overall I need warmth and I don't want the hassle of taking off my jacket, adding the mid layer, putting jacket back on, then when it's time to go again doing it all over reversed. I simply want to add an outer layer and be done.
No matter what I don't think I or anyone could go wrong on these options. Both top notch great quality.

I have the Sitka Kelvin Down Hoodie and it is amazingly warm. I wear it with the kelvin pants and can sit out in wind and cold and glass bears in the cool spring or snow in the late fall. I ride the 4 wheeler in 20 degrees at 30 mph, and you can not feel any cold come through. If I had to spend a night out without a bag, this would save my life - well worth having in the pack.
My son used it to go ice fishing this year and now wants to own it !!

I have the KUIU super down without the hood, I wear it layered with my DCS guide over it. I'm not familiar with the Sitka but if outer material is like the KUIU's I'd layer it. Don't forget the KUIU jacket compresses into one of the hand pockets!

Thanks to both of you... I actually chickened out of committing to one of them so currently own both. Hope to put a full review up after some extended use. Its funny though the times that I have used it, I have always ended up grabbing the Kuiu Jacket. Lightweight and more versatile. But I think I kind of knew that, as the Sitka jacket is just going to be 4 super cold conditions.

Montana, I also have the super down pants that I have worn yet, though my wife doesn't know about them either. He's another thing, I bought my jacket in brown not camo on KUIU's suggestion so a person can where while not hunting too.

Icon pro 3200 pack that's hanging in the garage......... She says why did all your old school Camo go in your dresser, now the kuiu stuff hangs on a hanger..... If she only knew.......... That's why I haven't started fly fishing YET Matt.
