Ha well not off grid by any means but no power here if that counts

This was camp for a night last year. Pretty awesome to get under the stars again to be honest.

IKIC - I have the same or similiar grill as the one on your tailgate. Do you have it mounted on a peice of plywood (or something else)? Hard to tell from your pic.

I've spent quite a few nights on a cot by my truck. Neither my cot or truck are nearly as nice as yours though IKIC. I never bring the dog either, mines a jack ass.

I'm not one for roughing it anymore. Especially when the weather is like this. We use a generator to keep things running smoothly and warmly. During summer antelope hunts which are in August here in NV it's nice to run the AC during the heat of the day.DSCN0360.jpg

IKIC I have the same tents. They set up so nice and fast. I only got it this year so time will tell on durability.

Sneakypete, what is the corral for?

That is my buddy's grill. It actually didn't work for us on that trip the regulator broke but he swears by it. He had it on his boat in Fl and he has had it for years.

It's just spitting on the tailgate.

Nice camps and nice pics so far guys. I'm sure there is plenty of great american ingenuity to goes into peoples camps. I hope to pull off a diy camp someday.

billdoe708, there used to be some free range cows and we put that up to keep them from rubbing against the two cabins. I wish it was to keep the elk and deer out!

Thanks. I've been wanting to make some legs for my grill from 2x4's. Was interested in the setup. As for the grill, it is amazing. Heats up to 400 degrees just on low. Left on High, it will turn the grates in the grill red. Mine is Cabelas brand and I think I paid around $100 on sale.

I can tell when I tagged out early from past years hunting picks because I have pictures of camp in the daylight....

Years I went until the last minute, I didn't see camp in the daylight....

Basic Idea is to establish a sleeping area and cooking area. In Griz county the two are well apart.
