Unfortunately it's hard to stop. It's funny as I read a study (can't find the link I read it on) and as the human race progresses with advancements, natural selection and survival of the fittest doesn't take place. Therefore the population as a whole is getting "dumber" instead of smarter.

I will say I personally find it amusing that people are worried about this stuff happening to them and the presidents speech to "calm" everyone Down. The odds are extremely low and as many "mass" shootings happen, they're few and far between in the reality of things. I honestly don't think you could find one day in history where someone went on a rampage and killed a lot of people. I'll get my ccw but honestly it's gonna get a lot worse until it gets better. Doesn't help that most of the politicians suck also.

I fear this is only the beginning. Our current government has looked the other way and allowed ISIS to progress to what they are now. Before we had terrorists in country's. Now we have allowed a terrorist country to develop. Their refusal to close our borders has let alot of people into this country that we know nothing about and i have no doubt there are terrorists mixed into them. The only reason there werent more terrorist attacks after 9/11 is because we went after them in the middle east. Our biggest mistake was not going into Syria and a few other countries. Now not only do we have a terrorist country to deal with but we have let them into our own country. There could be more attacks here anywhere any day. Pray for the best and prepare for the worst.

People have plenty to be worried about i was just around the block at a county complex when this crap went down it was not cool at all even with a shotgun on the back seat of the truck i was vary worried about my employees safety I never thought it could happen in San Bernardino it can happen any where even Reno my friend. I don't go any where with out a gun in my truck

Seems to me you are missing the point MM was making. He is not talking about all nut cases, just foreign ones as I read his remarks, especially of the Islamic Terrorist variety. I'd suggest his point is factually accurate and while I do not agree with a full border closure, there is no doubt it would keep us safer. One of the SanBernardino shooters was foreign, many more examples, back to the 9/11 terrorists being foreign. Quite a few examples of illegal aliens committing violent crimes too... So it is a fact Americans have been harmed by foreigners, legal and illegal, leading to the simple conclusion a closed border would in fact make us safer. That said, it would not eliminate all acts of terror or mass shootings. ISIS has announced their plans to use the refugee crisis to spread terrorists, and did so in Paris. Be smart to take them at face value, me thinks.

Islam is not a race, it is a religion that some have used to justify barbaric behavior. I can't see how a program to address that segment, whether one agrees with the program or not, has elements of racism, if it is focused on countries. Closing our borders for a time to immigration from countries with a ISIS/terrorist presence would make sense to me, and would help keep us safer, in my opinion. Ditto for our southern border, relative to illegal immigration. I'm not racist and do not dislike people with brown skin...

Your confusing mass shootings vs terrorism. Closing or tightening up the borders obviously won't help out with mass shootings but it would probably help with radical Islamic terrorism on our soil. Two totally separate issues that shouldn't be lumped together.

A lot of the domestic cases and those Americans drawn to being jihadists has to do with the incredible amount of anger in this country, especially younger generations. You can hear it the disrespect, profanity and readiness to jump all over people that tick them off in any way.

I think it has a lot to do with destruction of the family, the decline of respect for authority and and the unhealthy isolation kids experience. When you think destroying multiple families is an option you have no idea what a treasure a close family is because you haven't experienced it or been part of a good group and have fallen for the lie that nothing is more important than your own feelings.

Nothing you can do is more important than keeping your family together despite the many temptations and pouring yourself into the lives of kids, whether your own or those whose dads are MIA. Man was never meant to be so isolated. Those who enrich the lives of others know how true it is that it is more blessed to give than to solely chase their own pursuits.

The shootings in your list are coyotes. 9/11 and San Bernardino are wolves. There are already and always will be coyotes in Nevada. Do you want to let wolves into Nevada or do everything you can to keep them out?

Stop and look back a thousand years, read about the crusades. Christianity and the Muslim religion have been fighting and killing each other for all this time. The Muslims hate each other and cannot even get along among themselves. It will not end in my lifetime, that's for sure. If it wasn't for their oil, we would have been out of there long ago.

How do we solve it? I surely don't have that answer, but I look at every Muslim and see a potential terrorist. Sad but true.

Its a holy war. I was there and I couldnt make any sense of it. The sunni's and shiite muslims hate each other an I dont think they know why. Really its a small percentage of each that actually want to kill the other. They both hate isis now and atleast that makes some sense. It goes back to the coyotes and wolves. You will never get rid of them but if you kill everyone you can you can keep them under control.
