I moved to Colorado this year and I won't get my residency till nov. 1st. I have been scouting several units every week and have found lots of bears as well as excellent fall habitat. Finding lots of bears every time out isn't the problem but will they be harder to hunt and denned up in November?

thanks

I think a lot depends on the year and elevation where you are hunting. Around here at the lower elevs, the bears den up lots later. I've seen then well into Dec in a warmer year.

That's the congruent bear tag, never look at those. Way to complicated.

Depends on the tag. My M/L bear tag is good for Unit 70 M/L season only.
Yup and my archery tag is not only good for a handful of zones. I was just confirming that the season is not limited to September. I suppose I should have expanded more.

This is my first bear tag, I'm hoping to punch it this weekend. I'm going to hunt some low country I saw a few bears on last year andfrom talking with the warden last weekend, it should be a good spot.

Good luck on your ML hunts Cowboy!

found my cinnamon bear again but I kind of think it may be a sow. It hides in a very small valley and has a trail coming in and out daily. not sure if this track is a cub or hind track of a mountain lion. the bear lives in the middle valley on the opposite mountain in the picture. it has a sheer face wall on the inside of that valley so it looks like a bad situation to get into. i put a cam on the trail so i will hopefully find out what it is next tuesday.

the bear has a bad attitude. the first time i spotted it, it threatened me and took its time before walking away. it also lives within this small valley. the first time i saw it, it was only a few hundred yards away from this valley in the spring. kind of surprised it has such a small range. it only walks across the road to feed in the valley strait across.
