So I have an issue. 2 days back to work after 16 days off hunting and I'm realizing I'm jonsing to get out in the mountains already. I've got to figure a way to hunt more and work zero! Come on bear season!
You figure this out, you definitely will need to share to the rest of us. It took me 5 days to shoot my cow, so now I'm done for my tags and still itching to hunt. Hopefully I get invites on other hunts out here! Bird season will be soon enough, that at least will keep my GWP happy!!!

Heading out tomorrow on the quad with my 2 young pups. Gonna go see where the activity is. Hoping to cover a lot of ground and see something good. There's a couple spots I'm really looking forward to checking out.

The spots I was hoping to check out fulfilled my hopes. Found 5 different tracks with some that I really hope to see up close and personal this season. You guys better be ready, I'm getting pumped up!

I wouldnt of expected the empty can, I thought a bear would eat Copenhagen can and all!
Judging from his erratic behavior I'm guessing he lost his can or he's trying to quit. I didn't find any carnage along his path so I'm assuming he lost it.

Not a bear! This is right here in town. Running the river but it's all private so no chasey with the dogs.

Checked out the southern end of my top secret hunting spot. Roads are really bad from all the flash floods this summer. Found this decent track near a spring. From all the pine cones that we're starting this spring to now the pine ones disappeared. Not sure what caused the stunt and loss. Guessing lack of constant moisture?

Went into an area very close to me today. Lots of pinecones and 3 sets of tracks. Nothing to change opening days plan though. This could be a good backup area. Going into another rang tomorrow to see how the feed is.
