Any guesses which group is mine and which one is Dan P?

Anyone else been working on tightening up their groups?

Dan appears to have some arrow flight issues... time to tune. Nice group Scott! I have been shooting a little but not near as much as I would like. Work schedule keeps getting in the way.

The tight group is Dans! I have been working on my grouping, but added broadhead a to the mix last night.

That is my best group of the season at 60 yards with field tips.

Ha, Didn't figure you would post it if yours was the sporadic one. Looks like you have some steering going on with the broadheads.

Bow.jpg

Here's my group from the first time shooting my new to me bow, it's the first Matthews I've ever owned seems nice so far. Someone broke into my shed last year and stole all my bows, a bunch of gear and about 20# of meat out of my freezer, so it's been a slow process at times replacing what has taken me 20+ years to accumulate. The bow came with the aluminum arrows so I decided instead of spending even more money I'd use them as long as I have them. I got the bow from an older guy who bought it brand new, but never shot it still had the tags from the store on it with the receipt, kind of neat.

Dont mess up your expensive shafts hitting each other with those broadheads!! I shoot all the time and love shooting over 60 yds. the longer distances will do wonders for your sub 60yd shots. I thinks I posted a video of a practice session before.

Have been hitting the targets hard recently. In CA our A zone archery season opens tomorrow. Hoping the temps stay in the low 90's!

2 of mine were broadheads, always shoot them first. The other two were field tips, but it's pretty easy to see that I need to make some adjustments on that first picture.

Second pic is all field tips, I know it says broadhead only...

What size arrows are you shooting? I have some Easton Axis 340's just sitting in my closet, they are cut to 29". Ill give them to you.

SSlinger... my 15 year old can use them if those fellas don't want them. That is the exact arrow he shoots. Let me know. I have family in town that can pick them up from you.

Here is a group I shot the other day from 90 yards. The max I used to shoot at targets was 80, but this year I have stretched it out to 110 and it has really made me focus and work on technique. It is nice when 70 and 80 yards start to feel closer. It gives me tons of confidence when hunting and an animal is out there at 40 or 50 yards. We shot a 3D shoot the other day and the 60 and 70 yard shots were so fun, we had a blast. I shoot a Bowtech Experience set at 70 lbs with VAP arrows and black gold Ascent adjustable 3 pin sight.

Yeah, I shot. 20-60 yds. Did not have much time. Probably a dozen shots before dark.
Ramping up for my first ever archery elk hunt!
