Zim, I am glad you can pat yourself on the back and can take claim to so much credit. You sure are starting to sound like Don Peay, Tony Abbott and a few other SFW counterparts and "has been's" with all that gloating. You talk to me about judging, yet you were the first to jump to conclusions about me and my knowledge of Utah politics and wildlife.
I will say this and be done with this topic to respect the wishes of the moderator, but I do not drink the SFW Koolaid or jump on their band wagon. I am not a member, and I doubt I will ever be because I can't support their ideas and views 100%, let alone probably 50% of the time. For example, I feel like at least 80% of the money raised at the convention needs to go back to wildlife and not SFW's pocket. But they are the one's who are out doing stuff. In 12 years of doing dedicated hunter projects I have yet to be involved with one put together or paid for by the RMEF, MDF, FNAWS, UWC, BOU, or UBA. These projects are all steer headed by SFW. I to once was involved with some of these other groups, but have stepped away since their actions are less than desirable, and they back down from fighting SFW. Until people and these other groups take a stand, SFW will do what it does best. And they are are an organization to make money and that's what they will keep doing.
But I will be damned if an out of stater will tell me what's best for my state, and I am sure you would feel the same way if I tried to tell you how to run things in Illinois. That makes it sound just like what the Feds are trying to do right now with our forests, state lands, wolves, grizzlies, sage grouse, and other wildlife here in the west. But seeing how you're from Illinois, I guess you can't help it since people there tend to tell others how to live, and I will let it slide. We both agree that SFW isn't what it's cracked up to be, and they have issues. But until the laws get changed and the other groups step up, SFW is going to keep making money and continue to at least do something to help wildlife.
