We have 2 lions on the ranch killin calves, the ranch truck I just bought after gettin it runnin for a couple days it threw a piston threw the oil pan, so we've finally got the new engine and got the front end taken apart, so hopefully tomorra the new engine can be in and hooked up and that gets back up and runnin. School starts back up tomorra also so it's been hectic.

I know a guy with dogs that might catch you those lions! Everybody needs a lion rug. He don't do much side work on other peoples trucks tho.

We got a trapper trappin tryin to trap it. We can't run dogs cuz it doesn't stay on our property, it travels the carson river and only takes a calf every 2-3 weeks on a. Wednesday or Thursday night. It's on a strict pattern. Plus the rancher to our north east hasn't been keepin exact numbers of his calves so we don't know if the lions have been killin his and he don't know. He's a lot more casual then us. I've found lion kills on his property though in the past so I just think the lion finally came up the river to us every once in awhile now.

I'd give that fella a call if the lion was a permanent resident but only comes by every 2-3 weeks and kills and takes a calf on Wednesday or Thursday night. The good news is the engine will be goin in tomorra and then all I gotta do is remount it, put on 8 new spark plugs, freeze plugs, new belts and it's good as new.

Last time we did that we have a subdivision that borders one side. They called the cops on us! And we didn't even shine their houses. Then we had a lady threaten to call cops because when we drive our roads we make too much dust. I'm gonna purposely power slide every corner when not haulin anythin.

Just from what your saying and the Carson river I think I might know the area your talking about. If it's the area I'm thinking there's nothing but private land along the river and hodges out further which is absolutely of limits. Lots of lions in that area, and deer.

Yep in Dayton. Not too many deer we lost our herd of 100+ and only have maybe 20. I think the lions have hit ours hard and yes lions and even bears. Yet even us teenagers that run all over the ranch on free time can't even scare em out.

My buddies father in law owns property along the river with his brother. He's got about 20 resident deer supposedly too. I know Hodges has lions every so often. Really wish there was more access to the south of you guys. Good country

Yep but it's all use cranky all ranchers that own it lol. My family actually used to have most of dayton in the late 1800's but they sold it off. Really wish they kept minors section but oh well

Went for Late Elk Tags since my Wyoming tag opens Sept. 20th.

Gonna just get a point for deer, this year. Also held off on the Bear Tag. But I'm in for the rest. Velvet, you better be ready to come pack out my Bighorn!

Finally got my app in. Deer, mtn goat, bighorn, cow elk, bonus point for bull elk. I figure I shouldn't draw another bull elk tag before my son gets one.
