Hello from Montana

Hello all, long time reader here from northwestern Montana

(recent transplant, grew up in southern Illinois, lived in central Nebraska for 10+years, now on my third year in Montana)

Bowhunter first, but I love it all.

I did mange a nice muley last year so Montana hasn't completely skunked me, but elk are certainly harder to come by here in the flathead...

We actually rented a house in bigfork for our first 9 months here, super pretty. We ended up buying a small acreage in the west valley area of Kalispell.

Looks like you should find elk just outside the window. Welcome to the forum. I have hunted around Southern Illinois in a little town named Cobden. Bet you've heard of it. Good friend has 300 acres there. Prettiest part of Illinois.

Yep I know where Cobden is . I was born in Chester, IL. Went to school at SIU in Carbondale.

Nice to have another Southern IL guy on the boards. Went to SIU as well, but in Edwardsville. Primarily hunted the kaskaskia river bottoms (state ground) until my dad purchased a farm back in 1991.
