You think that the only place you can kill a trophy animal is in a unit that requires at least 10 points, and will not hunt anywhere else until you draw that tag.
Your wife laughs when you annually announce you are holding out for a big one this year.

Your only hunting boots stop fitting before you wear em out
Your still trying to shoot up the last few rounds of your only box of ammo
You put your 10 year old pack frame up for sale in....like new condition / no blood stains / tears
You never had to put a new edge on your favorite skinning knife
And my personal favorite....
You bust your ass practicing a whole two weeks before bow season !!!!!!!!

I had a guy actually bring me his new rifle that was bore sighted "by the factory" because he couldn't figure out why he was missing. He then told me it was guaranteed to shoot under an inch. He had the rifle for 2 seasons! A total of 8 rounds through it.........

Surf forums for Score guess threads to make guesses that are WAY to low to insinuate they wouldn't have shot it, then tell everyone how much they suck at scoring.
Have more invested in their custom rifle than their daily commuter vehicle.
Think slapping a trigger and a new stock on a factory remington rifle makes it a custom rifle.
Will take their phone to the bathroom so they don't miss a camofire deal.
Have an assortment of "be your own decoy" costumes, and have worn at least one for Halloween.
End up gutting an animal while performing the gutless method.
Are the reason this needs to be printed in a rules & regs booklet.
