60/40 is alive and well. Slight case of Brain Fade on my part. 90/10 Sheep Bill went down.

Sorry guys
Well that sucks. Do you know if they're leaning one way or the other? It sounded to me like it would pass in committee. Also, I believe it would take effect July 1 in 2016 or something like that? If it passes, would it be in effect next year or not until 2017?

60/40 sucks but I guess you have to expect it. NR just have to pay what ever they ask if you want to hunt. As far as 45, I think the elk all migrated out this winter and won't be back!!!!! Better just head to 38.

Great info. Thanks! Is there places to camp & water horses?
The southern portion of 45 has plenty of water, just need to do a little map recon to locate it. Also several camp grounds for a base camp location., again a little map recon will show you where. If so inclined there are even options for a roof over your head.

Thanks all, I appreciate the input! If anyone else has anything to add I'd be glad to listen.
Thanks again

Unit 45 elk thoughts

I'm also thinking about applying in 45 but I'd be solo as my buddy's plans have changed. I scouted last year a little and from my take in the area we were, an ATV would be somewhat essential since there are many 50-inch max roads and you might have to move to find the elk. I'd say it was relatively mild terrain compared to where I hunt in CO. So if anyone draws and is looking to join up with anyone, PM me. BTW, I'm both bow and rifle hunter and not positive if I'd go for the Type 1 or 9 tag. I'm still on the fence whether I apply or wait another year so I'll check back after the app. deadline!
