General Unit 10 Tag or Limited 1 tag Unit 41

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions/information in either unit for an elk hunt? I have to start picking my vacation next year and was trying to figure out what would be my best bet for an elk hunt. I have been hunting mulies for a few years now in the west side of Wyoming and decided it was time to try and find an elk. I am not asking for spots to go just information and opinions on either unit or other units if anyone has anything.

I have hunted area 10 the last 2 years. Archery hunting is pretty decent, I have been into elk every outing in September. Once the bullets start flying the elk become scarce. I harvested a nice 6 last year during archery and got a raghorn during rifle this year.

Thanks. Do they seem to head onto private or just get in deeper during gun?

I think a lot of cows head into the private, and the bulls head deeper into the timber. There are a lot of hunters during the rifle season that basically hunt the border of private and national forest. I have a good idea of where some of the bulls go, just haven't had to go there yet. You could always get the reduced price cow tag and come take a look without loosing your points.

I have been thinking about doing that for a year or two just to use as a scouting trip and be able to kill something.
