Wyoming Locals, Any Idea What Trailhead?

It's unfortunate that stuff like this happens and reminds me why I can't bring myself to hunt in areas where grizz inhabit! They just scare the hell out of me!!

It is unfortunate that this stuff happens, but it's a harsh reality that people have to deal with in that area. I'd be interested on what kind of grizz training this poor guy had before his company sent him into grizz country by himself. I'd be willing to speculate little training was involved if they sent him in alone in the first place.
I grew up with Grizz, in areas where conflict apparently is the worst. We need a season and we need one soon!

we had a truck at the trailhead last night, by noon this morning a grizzly broke through the back window and ate part of the back seat. . i deal with them constantly

Its too bad that people have to get killed to make other people realize that these predators are over populated and need to be managed.
I'm sure when the dust settles it will be found that it was not the bears fault. It was a sow simply defending her cubs, a grizzly defending a kill or a gut pile left by a hunter, the guy didn't have the proper training, bear spray, etc. We need a hunting season for the grizzlies so they can learn to respect humans and keep the bear population in check. Aggressive bears are breeding and reproducing aggressive offspring.
This is very sad indeed. We do need a season but what we need worse are people to carry bear spray and a shotgun into bear country to educate bears into understanding that humans are not easy pickings! Turn em with spray, keep em moving with birdshot! Its the Alaskan way and it works. This is just like our society today; passively sit and wait for something to happen then complain about nothing changing. Get proactive, get aggressive, take precautions and don't be a pussy around bears. They need to be hazed, harassed, and scared to death by every human they encounter. WE are the top of the food chain and we need to act like it. Alpha Predators rule the mountains, period.
A couple of years ago a father and his kids were attacked by a grizzly just north of Jackson while elk hunting. They shot the bear which had been feeding on an elk nearby. End result... that area has now been permanently closed to hunting. I'm sick of all the BS about how the animals were here first and we're intruding in their backyard and that it's never the predator's fault for attacking a human.

If it's the company that I'm thinking of--- Western Watersheds based out of Sun Valley, they are at the forefront of reintroduction of predator species(Grizz and Wolf) throughout the west and are on fallout assault on the western way, ranching, hunting, farming etc... You go through any of the law suits that is against the federal government dealing with land use, endangered species act and you'll find that they are pretty much the ring leader when it comes to it. For this guy not to have any training would be an complete insult to him and his family and would show the true negligence of the company!!

I don't know anything about the company, but it was reported that he worked go an outfit named Natures Capital.

Hard to say but it doesn't look like they had much experience in Wyoming.

You forgot to add "Stop them with slugs" Grizz. Brooks lake has always had a lot of bears in the area. We saw one (grizzly) walking down the eastern shore while my wife and I were eating lunch across the lake by the lodge. Big feller he was! That was a quick lunch by the way!
I agree, there needs to be a role reversal here. Right now humans are afraid of bears, and bears don't respect us. It should be exactly opposite of this. We should have a healthy respect for the power and ability of the animal and they should have a healthy fear of us!
