Hilleberg is my favorite tent style, Seek Outside LBO is my fast and light choice. I have used SO tipis as well and the stove option is REALLY nice!

I just tested a BA copper spur UL2 the last couple days in my yard next to a couple thousand acres of fields. Not the mountains, but we still got 1.5 inches of rain and up to 40mph wind gusts. Tent is still standing and bone dry on the inside.

I've been using a Big Agnes Emerald Moutain for about 6 years now, great lightweight tent!! But I pushed it passed it's limit in November when it snowed almost 2ft one night, that is where a Hilleberg comes into play! and now I have one, FINALLY!!

I have a copper spur UL2. Totally happy with it.
Love mine as well I really like the two vestibules and the way you can access both of those vestiblues. I put my pack and bow under one vestibule and my boots and gators in the other access. Its nice to be able to access the pack from inside the tent if you need something. Plenty of room to put on cloths on in the morning and very easy to set up even in the dark. I would add that it is really a big one mans tent and would be a tight squeeze for two. No problems with condensation at all. Very well thought out tent. I weighed it on my scale and the BA copperspur UL2 Tent w/footprint was 52.54ozs. Thats a pretty good weight for the space you get.

If you want the best go with Hilleberg. My preference is the Hilleberg Nallo 2. If you can't afford a Hilleberg take a look at the Exped Aries. I've been inside the Big Agnes tents and don't particular like the angled walls. If cooped up in a tent for days or on extended trips I much prefer steep sidewalls of the Nallo or Exped. You will also find you won't have any room for your gear in the Big Agnes. The Big Agnes are lighter weight so they have that going for them.

One other option with the Nallo or Exped design is to use the 4 season fly by itself without the inner part of the tent. The fly only weighs around 2 lbs. I often use this when I want to pack ultra-light. I've used the fly alone several times in downpours and high winds in Alaska with the addition of a bivy bag.

I agree the Hilleberg is probably the best but the price is steep. For almost half I went with the BA Copper Spur UL3. I use it for two people and have more then enough room inside and under the fly. I also can use the fly floor less or with the footprint. It is a great tent and i saved enough over the Hilleberg to add a new pair of Lowa Tibets and some other goodies. Now if I had a little more in the wallet I would definitely be eyeing the Hilleberg!

Sounds like you like your BA! I've used an abused my Lowa Tibets for years. I hope they work for you as well as they've worked for me!
