Robiland, it will melt off fast. Take chains though. That road you will be on can be tough without chains and pulling a trailer. The weather this year is in a wet pattern and you never know what can happen. 3 years ago there was 18" at the camp elevation when I pulled in there. Nothing when you dropped down a couple K ft. Be prepared for it but pray it doesn't happen.

My buddy in Sheridan called me last night while he was on the road heading for an antelope hunt in NV. When he went over the mountain between Buffalo and TenSleep he said there was still some snow on the ground up high because it got cold after it snowed a day or two before. It will probably warm up and melt, but take the other advice and go prepared for anything. From September on through the Fall hunting seasons you just never know from day to day what the weather will be. I'll be out in elk unit 45 two weeks from tomorrow helping a member on this site fill his A/O tag and I can't wait to hit the road!

Bulls were bugling OK Friday night and Saturday also. Had a 5x charge me last evening when I was fumbling around trying to fold that dam montana decoy up after using it to walk past a forky bull. Though he was gunna run me over. First time it ever worked. LOL

2 years ago in Rocky Mountain Nat Park a big 6x6 was bugling in the campground i was in during labor day weekend. Very cool. In the Sangres here in CO we always heard them bugling opening weekend. They would come in but they werent shy about it.

A friend of mine called in two bulls, this past Saturday, they made no sounds at all! Crept in as though they were trying to be super quiet. Arrow hit it's mark at 19 yards! High up in the timber! Western Idaho. 6x5
