I purchased a Zeiss 3x15x50 scope and am trying to become a little more acquainted with the parallax adjustment. The setting goes from 50 yards to infinity with 9 hash marks in between.

Can someone tell me what each hash mark represents?

Any assistance will be appreciated as the old cowboy may have bit off more than he can chew with all this new fangled equipment:)

Here is a good read they might explain what parallax means with a scope.

All the hash marks are there for is to give you a reference on where you have it set at in case you need to go back to it. I believe.

For most general shooting I would just set it at 100 yards and leave it alone. 90% of the scopes that don't have a parallax adjustment out there are set at 100 yards
