I dunno if any of the forum members did business with Zaycon; our family did quite a bit over the last few years, we saved a lot of $$$ using them for bulk meats, never had an issue -until this week.

We found out last Wednesday that they "suspended" operations. Thing is-we had over $300 in yet to be delivered meat orders!

No one answers the phone at their office in Spokane, their website has a message about them folding; nothing much in the way of who to contact to get your $$$ back.

Anywho, I post this to alert any folks in our community that might not be aware of this and could be affected finacially. If you used a credit or bank card to order stuff from them, and its a future delivery, you can file a fraud report with the issuing bank or credit card company for non delivered merchandise-but do it soon, because I think some time limits come into play. I did this yesterday with my bank. This is to start the process of getting your hard earned $$$ back-hopefully.

There's more stuff to read online about it all; in social media and the like. Just wanted to let folks know.

Im so disappointed there was no notice, like you i had orders out there that went unfilled, bank said that Im out the money since i prepaid over 60 days ago and it?s fallen outside the dispute range. Seems like a shady way to do business!

MJ,

Don't give up!

Our bank-CU-initially tried to pull that 60 day chit with us too; but my wife researched the law on the Federal Trade Commission's website-in simple terms-the transaction date is the delivery date-not when you paid.

Yesterday, I got ignored at the 1st branch office I stopped in at-the jerk I got stuck with kept going back to that 60 day transacrion rule and would not file the paperwork for us. My wife even has email from the CU itself saying we could file a fraud claim for non - delivery of merchandise from the CU customer service dept. directing us to file a certain form in person at the CU. The jerk would not relent. After exchanging some choice words and stormig out of the bank, I just drove across town to another branch office to see if I would have better luck.

I kept my big mouth shut about the heated exchange at the other branch office and explained the situation to the branch manager there. They understood exactly what happened and filed the correct paperwork to claim fraud-there was a big box on the form for "non-delivery of merchandise" that he checked off.

I don't know if we'll get our $$$ back, but I was happy the folks at the other branch of our CU understood the issue and helped us file the correct papers to get the process started.

Sorry to be so long winded-just wanted to spread the word on how folks possibly can get their $$$ back.
