Youth Topic Question

In section 5 of the WY deer hunting guide, it states that a youth can take any deer in the area they are hunting.
My son has an antlered General Region H tag. The rules state any whitetail deer or legal mule buck. Does he also have the option of a mule deer doe based on section 5 concerning youth? Or is it unit specific licenses only?

One more question: Are the conservation stamps not yet orderable on-line?

Calling F&G is best option, but thought some of you WY annuals may know the answer!

It does say any deer in Section 5 of the regulations, but this is our first year youth hunting, so I wasn't sure. I will have to look into that myself. You can get the conservation stamp on-line it was under the stamps and other button when you go through the purchase licenses deal.

If you go through the entering your sportsman id and everything, at the very bottom of the choose license page is a button for stamps and permits, click that button, and it is under that list, about half way down on my list. Hopefully it is the same and I am not leading you astray

From the Regulations:

"Section 5. Youth Deer Seasons.**Youth hunters who possess a full price youth
deer license may take any deer during an antlered deer season in the hunt area(s) where
their license is valid as specified in Section 2 of this Chapter."

This regulation is fairly new to me, but I haven't taken anyone with a "youth" deer license out for several years. The language in the regulation seems pretty cut and dry to me. They also have a few "youth only" seasons in some general antlered only areas where it states they can take any deer. This kind of confuses me as well unless the intent of the "youth only" season is purely for the purpose of extended season dates. I'd just call the G&F Office and ask for clarification so you know for sure and let us know what they tell you.
