Youth elk hunt

Looking at putting my son in for New Mexico youth elk tag - either rifle or muzzle. Would appreciate any help in selecting a good area or even possibly a quality yet reasonably priced outfitter. Thanks in advance - We are die hard hunters from Montana who are looking for a change of scenery for a week.

I have been to NM on two different youth hunts with two of my boys Both hunts where muzzle-loader and both where high quality units. The hardest thing is getting a tag in the draw. I used a outfitter both times to get into the outfitter pool but we hunted on our own. He still offers these hunts but you have to have a guide with you for two days to cover the new guide rule. You can go that route or fully guided. He also has access to landowner tags if your looking that route.

I can also say I would give up my entire hunting season to be able to spend one week with my boys like I did in the past. Memories that will last forever.
